On to State
The Tri-Cities Prep Jaguar Baseball squad will face the defending 1B State champion Lake Quinault Elks (13-4) in regional play Saturday at Eisenhower High School in Yakima. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
The Jags who defeated Colton 4-0 to earn their first ever State playoff birth Saturday will be the #2 seed from the Southeast 1B district. Lake Quinault is the #1 seed from the Pacific Coast district after defeating Taholah and Wishkah Valley respectively. Prep Baseball Earns First Ever State Berth
On to State
The Jaguar Baseball team defeated the Colton Wildcats 4-0 Saturday at Gesa Stadium to earn their the first State tournament birth in the programs history.
Junior pitcher Will Hoppes threw a complete game one hitter and had 12 strikeouts in the shutout victory.
The Jaguars played Touchet for the District title (seeding) game and fell to the Indians 10-4 in the 4:00 p.m. game. Touchet will represent the District as the number one seed while the Jaguars will be the number two seed for regionals next week in Yakima.
